Center for Advanced Studies in Artificial Intelligence (Thakaa Center) in association with Saudi Arabian Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones (SAFCPD), the National Information Center Strategy Implementation Program, and other local and international partners (IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Mets Institute for Data Science) launched the “Tuwaiq Camp for Data Scientists” on Friday, 2-August 2019. The aspirants can register through the camp website.
The camp enjoys the fame of being the only camp accredited by the prestigious ACCET Accreditation council and aims to serve as a catalyst, where the inducted participants will go through 15 weeks of rigorous hands-on training at intensive industry projects. The participants at the end of the camp will be able to implement the data science and artificial intelligence concepts learned with big data and to unearth the insights and information contained within.
Prof. Abdullah S. Alghamdi, the board chairman of SAFCPD and supervisor of Thakaa center, stressed the notion of project-driven experience under the supervision of experts, guarantees the availability of optimal capabilities’ of professionals in meeting the demand of the domain.
Ayman Al-Falaj, the CEO of the Saudi Trust company that caters to the needs of smart solutions, business services, and data services, emphasized that data science applies to all functional domains and helps in minimizing the time required to solve problems and maximize the efficiency. The application of data science results in making informed decisions based on information extracted from voluminous data.
